How fast does your website load?
We measure response time, page weight, caching and rendering blockers of your start page and show the Core Web Vitals. Every finding comes with a concrete recommendation.
What makes a website fast?
Three things: a server that answers fast, a page that transfers little, and a structure that does not keep the browser waiting. The Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) measure how that feels to visitors: when the content is there, how fast the page reacts and whether anything jumps.
bytereport fetches your start page like a browser, only without rendering it: it measures the response time, loads the files the HTML names and looks at what slows the build, how large it is and how long browsers may keep it. That is visible without Google.
The Core Web Vitals themselves are measured by Google PageSpeed Insights: real user data from Chrome if the page has enough visitors, otherwise a lab measurement with Lighthouse. The operator of the instance switches this on; the checked address then goes to Google.
