Do search engines find your website?
We check crawlability, title and meta data, headings, links, preview in social networks and structured data of your start page. Every finding comes with a concrete recommendation.
What does the SEO check look at?
The technical foundation: does the crawler reach the page at all (robots.txt, sitemap, noindex, canonical, one address instead of four variants, no soft 404), does the page say what it is about (title, description, one H1, language, alt texts, enough text), and does it look good in search and social networks (Open Graph, structured data, favicon, hreflang).
What the check cannot do: rate rankings, keywords or backlinks. It shows whether the technical side is right, so that good content is found at all.
The start page is checked as a crawler sees it: without JavaScript. In addition bytereport fetches robots.txt and the sitemap and tries a page that does not exist and up to 20 internal links.
